Spas
Our region is rich in thermal water: our world-famous lake is the spa of Hévíz with its beautiful water-lilies, the biggest natural thermal lake in Europe. Really popular are the spas in Kehidakustány, Zalakaros, Zalaszentgrót, Gelse and Zalaegerszeg with thermal-, sport- and fun baths. The AquaCity in Zalaegerszeg gives a great relaxation and amusement for the entire family.
Ruins facing the lake
The former castles, still standing proudly on mountain peaks even in their ruins, are silent witnesses of stormy centuries. Rezi, Tátika, Szigliget and the recently revived castle of Sümeg: they all have their own legends and myths. Walking on their walls, you can enjoy the picturesque view of the surrounding hills or even of the Lake Balaton.
Balaton Uplands National Park
The magical world of Balaton Uplands National Park is waiting for you. Spy upon the birdlife of Kis-Balaton marshland. Come to know more about the life of mysterious buffalo in Kápolnapuszta. Row on the fascinating lake of Tapolca Cave and inhale the healthy air of the cave in the meantime. On the Szent György Hill and Badacsony you can admire the giant basalt organs.
